Music is part of the sport
I rarely train without music and a speaker is always a part of my workout equipment. Music helps me to focus and gives the workout a better vibe and more intensity.
I have my own playlists for competitions and training. The competition playlist features energetic music that gives you strength and there is a slightly wider variety of songs in my training playlist, songs that put you in a good mood. Every year I have had one race song that has an important message for that year. I always listen to the race song in the warm-up before the start of my race.
